Sound and Water Healing
Medical healers from ancient cultures believed that our organs resonate or vibrate at the same rate as musical notes. Through the years, this has been proved scientifically. With each note, there is a particular ripple pattern formed within the fluid of a cell, an organ or the entire blood and circulatory system. This is called a Cymatic pattern, and when the sound produces this wave pattern, it affects subtle energies in our bodies. Harmonious music produces the Cymatic resonance that affects our bodies in a variety of ways. You can sing the notes in a musical scale and influence the Chakra centers along the spine. If you make vowel sounds, particular organs and body meridians are affected. The seed sounds of the ancient Sanskrit Mantras allow the Cymatic patterns to open our cells to higher dimensional vibrations for healing and rejuvenation or for experiencing God. Water that moves makes sounds. There are the sounds of raindrops, a babbling brook, the sound of a waterfall, the roar of whitewater, the thunderous roar of ocean waves. The Cymatic patterns created when the sound of water is experienced is like “music to our ears,” meaning that the water sounds activate the same meridians and cell vibrations as does carefully executed musical notes – producing the same healing affect on cells as music.Water that is influenced by music takes on particular vibrations that the water will remember. If the sounds have been harmonious and positive, the water will share its resonance in positive ways with all the cells it encounters. If however, the water has been influenced with harsh, dissonant sounds, the influence to surrounding cells will be a negative influence and could actually create illness. It has been proven that plants grow better when they are exposed to harmonious musical sounds and fail to thrive when they are exposed to loud, harsh sounds. This is because a plant is about 90% water and the cells respond identically as water responds. Cymatic patterns produced by sound can nurture or destroy depending upon the patterns created. Exposing your water to pleasant harmonies and exposing yourself to the sound of moving water provides healthy resonance and healing Cymatic patterns in the body cells and organs. Our body is a perfect transmitter of vibration, being 70% water. Nerve bundles in our spine transmit vibrational sensory data to brain stem and limbic systems (our emotional processing center). Sound entrains us into health by entraining our energetic system to resonate in perfect harmony. In the universe every dissonant chord tends toward becoming a harmony Sound Therapy and Energy Medicine hold the greatest hope for the future welfare of humanity . Sound Therapy is used in hospitals, schools, corporate offices and psychological treatment programs as an effective treatment to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, alleviate pain, overcome learning disabilities, improve movement and balance, promote endurance, strength, stability and expanded awareness. Agrippa von Nettesheim, Dutch physician from the 16th century once wrote, "A person who is ill is no longer in harmony with the universe." In his book The World is Sound: Nada Brahma, Joachim-Ernst Berendt states that "The science of harmonics knows that any form of organic life---a fish, a flower, a leaf, a fruit, a beetle, any creature at all---is sound, that in fact even the 'most beautiful' forms of the inorganic world, the crystals, are sound." When we take the word "person" back to its Greek root per son, it literally means "the sound passes through it." Now, with multimedia exposure in films such as "What the Bleep do we know?" and Dr. Masaru Emoto's book "The Hidden Messages in Water," the idea that everything is vibration, body, cells, particles, thoughts, feelings, is surely becoming more acceptable. Despite this fact, the field of Harmonic Medicine is still very new to our culture. There is a system of sound healing that is bringing back the science of harmonics, however. It's known as Acutonics® and its curriculum teaches Harmonic Medicine. Developed by Donna Carey, PhD, LAC, author of Acutonics®: There's No Place Like Ohm, this sound healing method applies tuning forks instead of needles to the meridian system, acupressure points, areas of pain and the chakras.
