Did it ever occur to you that we live our whole lives paying homage to our religions, ancestors, our families, our cultural icons, and our friends and lovers? We honor our bosses and co-workers for the gifts they bring into our lives. We give thanks for the Great Spirit who has provided us with consciousness, nourishment, and shelter. We strive to attain a grateful heart and enrich our minds with new thoughts so we can maintain a high level of consciousness. Most of our gratitude and adoration is freely given to others even though often we silently endure the pain and pleasures of life in order to walk our path demonstrating greater feats of courage and accomplishment. Like me, you have probably put yourself last when gratitude is expressed.
Blessing anything has not lost its power. The practice may have become overshadowed by other spiritual trends, but blessings have worked since humans could sense the presence of spirit in all things. It is a holy creation. It does not belong to religions, but religions use The Practice in their teachings. The Practice is largely dependent upon a strong ability to believe we are making some kind of connection to the cosmic universe and the Creator of it ALL.
Did we try to transcend our reality because our given life seemed too broken to face? Well, get over that and fix it. Let yourself fall and allow your personal splat to teach you something about yourself -- that messy, ungodly self. Then, watch enlightenment happen to you in spite of your tight control. Enlightenment doesn't come with directions, up or down. It just comes.
Think of Ho'oponopono as a gentle healing wave that washes over us and removes all limitations. We are left in a state of Zero Limits, a sublime and magical space... a place where all possibilities exist. We have the ability to create the life we want making new choices that are not limited by past transgressions. Ho'Oponopono is a gentle and remarkably effective way to wash away the debris and start making new footprints on fresh sand.
We don’t just follow our life journey and suddenly arrive to a place where we consider ourselves to be "awakened." We arrive in stages and often have to backtrack to see that we missed some parts along the way and need to do them over. In practicing this Water Blessing Renewal Process, I learned vastly more than I knew just a month ago. The process works. Blessings work.
