Selenite for Insight, Healing, Purification

It is known as “the stone of light.” t is said that Selenite is a mineral that offers a window to amplify the moonlight so we can see more clearly. Most mystics and shamans use Selenite to gather the moonbeams so they can be used at any time for insight, journey, or healing.

Selenite is a variety of gypsum. The name selenite comes from the Greek word Selene which means moon. It is a very soft mineral and can splinter easily.  Selenite is found in the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

It offers protection and cleanses other stones of negative charges. It eliminates blockages in the senses, assisting an opening awareness to higher planes of inner experience.

We offer Selenite sticks in 3" lengths and up to ½" thick . This small-shaped stick can be used on crystal grids, placed easily on meridians, spine, forehead, etc. during Reiki or used elsewhere on the body where is it light and barely detectable. It does a powerful job and compares identically with the power of larger stones. Using several on the body during energy work allows the energy to penetrate the healing meridians specifically for power boosts in those focused locations. Use more than one on your crystal grid to invigorate other stones on the grid. Some people make a hub in the center with radiating "spokes" of Selenite sticks sending energy to the sacred geometry grid.

A single Selenite wand used in general will have adequate energy to affect the entire body. We offer your stick of Selenite in a small pouch so you can carry it in pocket or purse. (it will splinter if jostled around). Take care in using Selenite near the mouth, nose, eyes, or delicate tissues. This is not a stone you should place near those locations. Use the velvet pouch to protect your skin if using it on third eye or face.

Use a stick of Selenite to nestle in a circle of your other stones for cleansing and purification. Selenite is one of the most popular crystals used by healers to activate the third eye and crown chakras. It is also used to journey into other worlds to gain insight and wisdom.

Robert Simons, author, The Book of Stones says this: "A Selenite wand pointed at the third eye sends energy that can feel like a gust of wind going through the forehead and out the top of the head."
