Surviving the Storm

The old cliché goes like this: throughout life, a little rain must fall. This has special meaning to those who have lived through storms that threaten our health, happiness, spirituality, and wellbeing. Diseases, accidents, injuries, climate catastrophes, personal disasters. It takes a lot of courage to try again. These events rattle our basic assumptions about life. We have been victims of tragedies, disasters, and faced obstacles so great we see only the darkness of destruction, and not the rays of hope.

Can we survive? Yes, we can.

Through the healing processes, we can return to a greater sense of meaning and purpose and restore our lives – but it often requires a new sense of faith. When our spiritual assumptions and beliefs are disrupted by challenges, we become shaken or shattered. We suffer emotional crises within our self-identity. We've lost our anchor.

Using Water Blessings helps us re-focus our beliefs and re-learn how to trust ourselves, knowing, we have carried heavy burdens and survived that storm. We remain survivors for the rest of our lives, but we are not hindered by this designation. We are empowered. We suffered the brutal storm, we did the work, and we found a new way to be alive.

Every storm comes to an end, and when it does, the brilliance of the sun always shines a new light on life.
